Shoulderblades is Oakland-based songwriter Annelyse Gelman's mobile amplified-bedroom project — lyrical, spooky, surreal indie rock grounded with guitar-and-vocals and buoyed by an evolving cast of supporting musicians. Together, their sound leaps from lullaby-quiet to primal howl, interweaving delicate melodic lines with complex layers of fuzz and distortion. The first Shoulderblades release, Six Songs EP, is available at shoulderblades.bandcamp.com.
